Policies

Garbage must be out by 6am or we cannot guarantee pick up.  

  • Billing: Garbage is a prepaid service, we bill quarterly (3 months) at a time.  New customers must pay prior to starting service. 
  • Ongoing Service: Garbage pickup is an ongoing service unless you call to cancel service.  If you move, are gone for an extended vacation of three weeks or more,  or no longer need service, please be sure to call and let us know ahead of time so we can stop service or cancel the billing in your name.
  • Payments: Payments are due within 30 days of billing.  If the bill is not paid within the 30 day window, service may be suspended.  A late fee may be applied to accounts with a past due balance.
  • Large Items: We will take one large item per week, such as a mattress, couch, or stove.  If you have an extremely heavy item such as a piano, we cannot guarantee pickup, but general items should be fine.  We cannot take refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers because of the freon. 
  • Construction: Remodeling and construction items (carpet, drywall, fixtures, etc) typically have an extra cost- please call the office to schedule pickup. We will not know the extra cost until we get there to analyze what is to be taken. If we do not have approval to charge for an extra pickup, we will leave the material, as we do not want to surprise you with any extra charges.
  • Polycarts/Garbage Cans: We know Michigan weather is tough on garbage cans! Freezing temperatures make plastic brittle and prone to cracking, and strong winds can blow cans into the road or away from your property. While we maintain our equipment, we cannot guarantee cans against weather-related damage.
  • Need a garbage can? Here are your options:
    • Use Your Own (FREE) – If you already have a suitable can, we’ll relabel it at no cost
    • Buy Outright – $75 one-time purchase
    • Rent-to-Own – $30/quarter for 3 quarters (you’ll own it after the final payment – total $90).
  • Refund & Cancellation Policy: We will refund any unused portion of payment within that billing cycle. If the payment was made by check, we must wait 14 days before a refund will be issued.
  • Privacy Statement:  We do not disclose any information that is given to us, such as phone numbers or addresses. We do not keep credit card information on file unless requested. Also, reoccurring billing is secure with access only by the biller.

HOLIDAY PICKUP SCHEDULE:

We run a day behind on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on or before your pickup day, then your day is one day behind with Friday pickup on Saturday. We never run into the next week, and if a holiday is on the weekend, it does NOT affect the pickup schedule.
